In this manner, the writer would get his share and the performer would get his, but the producer gets the majority. The late 40’s through the 50’s and 60’s is when the Independent Studio came to be. Magnetic recording was invented and quality recordings were less expensive and much more common. The Beatles revolutionized the A&R separation with their extensive songwriting and performance. In order to get signed and be successful in the music industry you must close deals. You must get the point across to the distribution label that there is money in your music. Day 6: Our only class today was the lab that taught sound design basics and Garageband fundamentals. First, we were to describe the setting of three songs. The first is Paul Anka, the second is Tori Amos, and the third is Nirvana (the original).
