SEO

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the work of making a website easy for Google and Bing to crawl, understand and rank for the searches its customers use. Local SEO is the subset that wins searches with a place in them, such as "web design agency Atlanta", and depends on the Google Business Profile, consistent business listings and reviews as much as on the website itself.

GrossiWeb is a digital marketing and web design agency based in Atlanta, Georgia, in business since 2006. It provides technical, content and local SEO for businesses in Atlanta, Raleigh, Los Angeles and nationwide, including a fixed-scope Local Visibility package for owner-run businesses and combined SEO and GEO retainers for companies with larger sites.

What this means for your business

SEO in 2026 is more complex than it's ever been: but the fundamentals haven't changed. Authoritative content, technical foundation, and earned links still determine who ranks. We build all three, simultaneously, as one compounding system.

How it works

What you need to know before you start.

What does an SEO company do?

An SEO company makes a website rank for the searches that bring customers, by fixing how the site is built, writing or improving the pages that answer those searches, and earning links and listings from other sites. For a local business it also manages the Google Business Profile, keeps the name, address and phone identical across directories, and builds a steady flow of reviews.

GrossiWeb works from a keyword and question map built from your Search Console data and the questions people ask Google, assigns one page to each cluster so pages do not compete with each other, and reports monthly on non-branded impressions and leads rather than on rankings alone. Today the same work also decides whether AI answer engines cite you, so every page is written to be quoted, not just ranked; that layer is described on the generative engine optimization page.

How much should I expect to pay for SEO?

GrossiWeb's Local Visibility package is $750 a month and combined SEO and GEO retainers start at $2,500 a month. Published agency pricing guides for 2026 (Ahrefs, WebFX, Boulder SEO Marketing) put typical monthly retainers between $1,500 and $5,000, with local single-location work from about $500 to $2,500.

The difference between the two GrossiWeb prices is scope, not effort per hour. The local package has a fixed monthly checklist that can be delivered in a few hours: profile, citations, reviews, one content update and a one-page report. The retainer covers a site with many service pages, new content each month and the AI-citation work, and its price rises with the number of pages in scope. Providers charging a few hundred dollars a month for "full SEO" are usually selling automated reports and low-quality links, which is the pattern Google's spam policies penalise.

Is local SEO dead?

No, but it has moved. Map results and AI answers to "best X near me" questions are now decided by the Google Business Profile, reviews and consistent listings more than by the website, so a local business with a complete, verified profile and recent reviews can outrank a bigger site with none.

The parts that stopped working are the doorway pages: one near-identical page per city with the city name swapped. Google treats those as spam, and AI engines simply do not cite them. GrossiWeb keeps a location page only where there is real local proof to put on it, and lists other cities as service areas. For the reasoning, see the post on local SEO in 2026.

Do Google reviews affect SEO?

Yes. Review count, recency and rating are part of how Google ranks the local map results, and the text of reviews adds the words customers use to describe your service. AI engines also read reviews and review counts when they decide which local business to name in an answer.

The Local Visibility package includes a compliant review programme: asking every customer the same way, never gating or filtering who is asked, and replying to every review. The reputation management page and the post on how reviews affect SEO cover the details.

FAQs

Questions people ask

How much does a digital marketing agency cost?

For a single-location local business, published 2026 guides put monthly retainers at roughly $500 to $2,500; multi-channel programmes for mid-sized companies run $2,500 to $7,500. GrossiWeb publishes its prices: $750 a month for the Local Visibility package, retainers from $2,500 a month, and paid advertising management from $750 a month plus ad spend.

What is the 3 second rule in web design?

The 3 second rule is the working assumption that a visitor decides within about three seconds whether a page is for them, so the heading, first sentence and main action must be understood at a glance. It matters for SEO because a page that visitors leave quickly loses the engagement that Google and AI engines use as a quality signal. Our web design work is built around it.

How do I get my business to show up in ChatGPT or Google AI Overviews?

Allow AI crawlers, get indexed in Bing as well as Google, state clear answers on your pages, keep your business facts identical everywhere, and earn mentions on independent sites. Local SEO does most of the entity and listing work already, which is why the Local Visibility package feeds AI visibility as well; the full method is on the generative engine optimization page.

Which agency is best for digital marketing in Atlanta?

Judge any Atlanta agency, GrossiWeb included, on four things you can check: named local clients you can call, reviews on Google rather than only on its own site, published prices, and a report that shows leads rather than rankings. GrossiWeb publishes its pricing on this page and names its Atlanta work on the Atlanta page; the rest you can verify before a first call.

How long does SEO take to work?

Technical fixes and local profile changes show in Search Console within days to weeks; new pages typically take one to three months to settle into a position; competitive terms take longer and depend on links and reviews. GrossiWeb records a baseline before starting and reports monthly against it, so you see the direction of travel from the first report. The baseline and the monthly comparison come from the analytics and reporting service; Atlanta timelines are on the Atlanta page.
